CHALO! FRESHCO JOINS THE PUNJABI COMMUNITY IN VAISAKHI CELEBRATIONS

Chalo! FreshCo celebrates Vaisakhi with bhangra dances, free sampling and festive specials
MISSISSAUGA, ON – Chalo! FreshCo invites its customers and the Punjabi community to visit the South Asian focused discount grocery store to celebrate Vaisakhi. “Vaisakhi is a festival that is very important to the Punjabi community and that makes it very important to us,” said Rob Adams, General Manager, Discount Format, Sobeys Inc. “From offering a full assortment of traditional Vaisakhi products to free sampling, promotions and special performances, our goal is to be there when our customers and the community gets ready to celebrate Vaisakhi, .”
Free sampling and special prices will be offered throughout the 50,000 square foot store, until April 17 during the entire celebration period. In addition, family activities such as live bhangra performances will be held on April 9, 10, 16 and 17 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
This includes a wide assortment of rice, spices, lentils and snacks; fresh produce; full service seafood, halal and non-halal meat counters; and Amaya, a popular Indian restaurant. Chalo! Freshco is located at 10615 Bramalea Road, at Bramalea Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy E. in Brampton, Ontario. The store is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
